Members blueswhore
There's an old saying with Fenders..666....meaning vol-6, bass-6, mid-6, treb-3, reverb-2 how that equals 666..you got me? Tried and true and always sounds pretty good. Great amp!

Members rinkrat6821
You're way off on the 6.Bass 2, Mid 3, Treble 6, Volume 6, reverb to taste. Thats ear piercing with a Twin.
Members hoang3317
volume=6, bass=6, mid=6, treble=turn down till sound does not hurt people's ears+reverb to state. Then add on some OCD or BB preamp and you'll be rocking.

Members hecticone
Bass, mids and treble all the way up. Use to twins use 2 for years and they always seemed to breath a little better wide open. Then I would use the tone pot on the guitar if need be. Members kittenclock
You're way off on the 6.Bass 2, Mid 3, Treble 6, Volume 6, reverb to taste. No. Volume 6, Treble 6, Mid 6, Bass 3, Reverb 2 is the magic blackface formula. Obviously different guitars require a slight tweek in the settings, but those settings are guaranteed to cut through any mix and sounds excellent. Members kittenclock
that one's pretty good!what about the bright switch? any suggestions? The magic 6 settings call for the bright switch to be on. The bright switch sounds horrible with it on at lower volumes but when you open the volume a bit it sounds fine. It appears to do less the more you turn the volume up.

Members kittenclock
WTF how did this thread bring all the new posters out of the woodwork? People that like fenders actually got a chance to talk about them in a forum that is usually nearly devoid of fender talk?
Members metalfanat1c
I have a 70's SF MV Twin. I have everything on 10 except channel/master volume with the bright off. I turn the bright on for buckers, off for singles. The Twin is the ONE amp I've had that I haven't even THOUGHT about selling.
Members kittenclock
http://www.singlecoil.com/docs/magic-six.pdf Mids at 3 is way doesn't work in live situations for me. Sounds great in a room by myself, but at practice or a show, the mids on my super have to be at 5 or up.
