Members HMKRich
I use an all tube Vox AC at church, and I think that tubes sound the best. But..... Solid state is much more consistent. It's alot easier to work with. With a tube, the way you play can make the amp go from quiet to loud. This can be problematic when you're trying to not overwhelm the congragation. If I didn't love my Vox so much, I would seriously consider a real nice solid state amp.

Members BadRonald
I use three different amps at church (one at a time!) My Soldano ROS, My custom Marshall JTM45 combo. Or, the church's Crate Vintage Club 2x12 with Vintage 30's. All tube of course. My buddy's church just went all direct with Pods and digital drums. He says he's dealing with it. It comes off ok. Members tlbonehead
For playing Christian Rock and Worship is it better to use a tube amp or solid state amp? Yes. I'm one of those, "whichever one sounds/works better for my intended application" kinda wackos.
