Members Keithrt99
My experience with VHTs has led me to not really like the way they sound, but i was watching some clips of helmet playing rock am ring and their tone is amazing. It appears they have VHT pitbulls on stage. Is there a secret to their tone? i've yet to hear a vht sound as good as that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKN4qW_9Ghw
Members redeye5
Yup VHT tone all the way. Im not sure if he uses a boost or anything though.
Members starsnuffer
They sound 500% better in a full band mix then they do by themselves, IMO. -W
Members jshaft37
that sounds like almost every vht i've ever heard live, as long as it was dialed decently.

VHT's are not the best home/bedroom amp IMO (I don't mind them in that environment personally however). Their dry voicing really comes to life in a loud band mix though. Members iroc
im not to sure about vht's i just can't seem to get where i like there tone, they seem to have a more woody grainy distortion than i like. I like a more saturated distortion, but im really interested in the new sig x, i want to try one out bad.

Members Kelly
I dont understand the "VHTs are dry" thing. I do understand the "I like more saturation to cover my crappy playing" thing, though.
Members almightycrunch
wow... that song is really terrible. but the tone is good. The album version is more user friendly than the live version, though it is essentially the same thing, just a bit more raw live. Helmet kicks ass!!
