Members Zachman
is there any mod that can make a dsl100's lead channel sound more saturated and fluidy like that of a framus cobra? Put one of these in front of it: Linear Power Booster 2 OR one of these:
Members marshalles01
is the Linear Power Booster 2 a volume boost, or does it actually give the amp saturation?
Members Zachman
is the Linear Power Booster 2 a volume boost, or does it actually give the amp saturation? Both, depending on how it's used. If used in front of an amp input, it acts as a drive if used in an amp loop it acts as a boost

Yup, that is what I do. I use an Electro Harmonix LPB-2 Boost in front of my Mojave Peacemaker, and I also have a Marshall BluesbreakerII overdrive that I use for different flavors, but the pedals definately go in front of the amp, for me. You should try both methods though, because the experience of KNOWING 1st hand what it does is invaluable, and you will decide for yourself what works best for you. Members marshalles01
what about using an eq pedal?
Members duncan
*shrug* if you like the tone, but you want it to have more girth and grit, then an overdrive is probably your best bet. people tend to get carried away with eq pedals.
Members Heineken
Putting a boost pedal in front of it only gave me a hell of a lot of unwanted feedback noise and a harsher sound. The DSL100 has more gain then one could ever possibly need. Try putting a good EQ through the FX loop to shape your sound to your liking. I get great results with a Sniper GE-7 just altering the bass sliders a bit. Makes it sound much "bigger".
Members Casa-of-Pain
Well, true it has alot of gain, but like me, I use the clean/crunch channel and I put a tube screamer in the front it and it sounds bad ass!!!!
Members PC Biz
Try one of these and a Boss GE-7 equalizer. Very fluid indeed.
Members ACLONERANGER
i actually run lead 1 with the gain at 7 or so and a cheap ass behringer vin. tube overdrive( 808 clone ) and it drips !!!.. very organic chunky tone indeed !!
