I guess mesa authorized a price break for the few still remaining of version one (no 10 watt option, no big deal to me). What a gorgeous sounding amp! That being said, any lonestar owners out there have advice for using it for gigging? The clean channel plays itself, but I'm curious if anyone uses the lead channel for high gain with a booster/comp/eq? I know andy timmons uses the bb preamp, but maybe there are other options. I used it on one gig with el34s and one with 6l6s, and el34's definately cut through better in the mix. Also, any advice about settings for the lead channel?
