Does it really do what it says? It sounds like a great Idea, and worth the $12 if its true!

 

 

Of course they don't. Look at this way...considering they are advertisting them by saying "they have transparent tone" meaning, they don't sound like you have caps in there. I've more than once just disconnected the tone pot and it sounds no "better" just has more (not "better") high end to it. Besides, the Historic is bound to have the Bumblebee caps in it already.

 

Great looking SG, they are my favorite guitars.

I have the whole wiring kit in my Les Paul, which means no more 300k volume pots and the caps don't seem to be clipping my high freq's. I've traditionally clipped the tone knobs/caps completely out of the signal path because I didn't like the "dull" quality they gave to my guitars. From now on I'll most likely use these. It's not like the $40 I spent on the wiring kit which netted me 4 CTS pots, the RS caps, and shielded wire was a rip off.
