Members J.
I have a Crate GLX212 with a bizarre hum problem that I can't get rid of. It sounds exactly like the 60 cycle hum you'd get from an ungrounded guitar or a noisy single coil pickup, but it's coming from the amp. I've used different guitars and different cables, all to no effect. The buzz is constant, and even registers a 'B' on the amp's little onboard tuner. Can anyone guess at a possible culprit? Thanks much,Joe

Members John Busbee
it could be a lot of things and amp like that, even a cracked board...if you're like me, find a good tech. Just looked it up, man that's pricey. Did you get a warranty? If so, just send it back. $500 can buy a real nice amp.

Members J.
Eleven responses, and only two straight answers. That's what I love about HC! Yeah, it sucks, but I don't gig with it and generally just jam in my bedroom from time to time. I want to put it up for sale on craigslist, but I don't know if I should have it fixed or just sell is as-is.

But if you wanna sell it, then do as is.
