Members petejt
Here's my combo, in a mahogany-bodied maple-necked explorer style guitar. GFS Crunchy Rails in the bridge, Dream 180 in the neck. I had your exact needs in a pickup combination, and decided on these. Here are the only clips I have, and they're okay but I have been meaning to record better examples since I got new mics in. Expect slop (both in the playing and in the mix), it's just a scratch pad recording after all. Lead tone Rhythm tone Sounds pretty good man. Thanks again. Members petejt
Seymour duncan + mahogony = sex That's what I am starting to lean towards, at least about the neck pickup.
Members sinnerx96
Does he {censored} mahogany? I think he's trying to say that Seymour Duncan's pickup sounds good in mahogany. I was just unaware, and quite surprised, that he is only manufacturing one pickup now.

Members petejt
I bought the guitar finally today. It's a sweet axe! Rant about teh EMGs are in another thread... I noticed that my guitar made of mahogany, feels quite lighter in weight compared to my guitar made of maple and agathis.
