If its anything like mine, just taking the back off gets you too the preamp tubes (which are a BITCH to get out, proper fiddly and delicate) but you will have to remove the chassis to get the poweramp/rectifier tubes. Members guitarman_nebr Posted April 12, 2008 Members Share Posted April 12, 2008 you have to remove all the screws from the top back panel. remove the panel. unplug the speaker and the reverb cables. clear the speaker cables from the bottom of the chassis. remove the 4 screws from the bottom of the chassis that hold it to the outside rails. the chassis will slide out now and you can change the tubes. i leave the 4 screws holding the chassis to the side rails out. i also wire tie the speaker wires so they are not connected to the chassis. this makes for quicker tube change and i did not notice a rattling problem Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I removed all the back panel screws and the four long screws on bottom side of the head. The chassis slid tight our without having to remove the reverb send/return.
