It sounds so much better.....I down tuned to C and I was getting some very awesome stoner rock type tones...like Electric Wizard and Kyuss. Get an SM57 in there and record with both... you will sound very righteous!I agree.....and that would explain the beautiful sounding clean recordings and the whimpy dirt tones. I was trying to blow the ratty old Randall Jaguars that were on the way out, anyways. I toasted ONE of them, and it was rattling beforehand. Oh, the RG is not even in the same ballbark when it comes to pure earbleeding volume. The RGT I had was just {censored}ing stupid loud. Probably the loudest amp I've ever owned. Ive had mine up to 5 ONCE....SO loud..Sometimes I impress the shear power on my friends by just turning it to 3 or so...LOTS of volume for a bedroom.. hehehehheheheMine has 3 kills... 2 more speakers and it will be an ace.
