Members FrThib
Thanks, I find it strange that one of the best maiden album is recording with SS amps. Quite weird!
Members FrontEndLoader
I'ma admit something here. That my fellow Maiden fans would skin me for.The only Maiden album where I actually like the guitar tone, is Number of the Beast. Dunno why. Whoever the recording engineer was, he made sure the guitars didn't sound buzzy or nasal-y. Yeah, the songs on Powerslave and Somewhere In Time were freakin awesome, but the tone always bugged me. not even the early stuff like the s/t and killers? Members JoJo68
I saw them on this tour. ( and powerslave and another I can't hink of now ) They were freaking great. Much better use of synths imo that Priest did with Turbo.

I'm a huge Maiden fan and I won't kill you. Their guitar tone is has been hit or miss on many of their albums. For me, their best guitar tone, and I mean BY A MILE, was Piece of Mind.
