Members solarburn
Is there a single coil PU that comes close to a buckers tone/output? I want something with more thickness and punch in the bridge slot.
Members newholland
what about stacked buckers, hotrails, or something like a p90?
Members solarburn
what about stacked buckers, hotrails, or something like a p90? Well I just got a strat that's all single coil. I've always had humbucking guitars so I really don't know of any single coil alternatives. Its just got to fit the slot though. I don't want to do any modding on it. Will stacked buckers fit and what do you think about Hot Rails?
Members solarburn
it ain't gonna happen. Any offering with more thickness?

Members newholland
are you looking for high gain sounds-- or just thicker than a SC?
Members solarburn
I was just looking at this "Seymour Duncan SHR-1 Hot Rail Stacked Single Coil Pickup" and see that it fits in a SC slot. Any comments on this pu? I'll check that pu out NH.
Members solarburn
are you looking for high gain sounds-- or just thicker than a SC? The sc that's in it is even failing at midgain stuff which is all I'm looking at. So really I just want to thicken that bridge position up. I do like p-90 tone. Its on the list. Seymour Duncan SHR-1 Hot Rail Stacked Single Coil Pickup seems to be more for metal from the reviews I'm reading so it may be too hot for what I want. Thanks alot guys. I really want to change out the bridge so your input is much appreciated. I'm making a list of what you put down.

Definitely helps but still missing the thickness I'm after. Don't worry bout being a dick. I've got thicker skin from being here and am used to the prick responses. PS- I like the price on the Seymour Duncan SSL4 Quarter Pound Strat Single-Coil Pickup too.

I gotta say that these pickups are the best ive heard or played - expensive though.

Members lenduffy
I put one of these in my strat and it does the job of beefing up the SC's and adding some nice midrange:Picked it up @ the Guitarfetish website.
Members ComingApart
Hot Rails sound like teh pooh. I've tried them in 3 guitars, 2 strats and 1 tele, and they're harsh and flat in all of them.
Members solarburn
Dimarzio Chopper T. Checking these out now and the Fast track 2, Chopper and their other offerings. Another thing I like about these is no 60 cycle hum.
