Peter gave me some ideas for designs like this - my "fender-bastard" design (which needs another tube though) are IMO ok, but with just two tubes for a preamp (like in this amp) it's a real challenge. I see you've also hatched my idea of having virtually nothing but JMPs and modding the hell out of them. They are a wonderful place to start though, in regards to modding.
