For your consideration.....

A little taller and

I'd see over the wheel,

And I'd drive my life.....my life

My life......it's no big deal....

......I'd drive my life

Like a pickup truck.

The number of "my life"s can be adjusted to fit with whatever else you're doing.

Sorry...wrong paste:

I'd see over the wheel,

And I'd drive my life.....my life

My life......it's no big deal....

...always out of luck....

......I'd drive my life

Like a pickup truck.

The number of "my life"s can be adjusted to fit with whatever else you're doing.

That's cool^

But... it's time for me to work out some groove and cadence to this beast. Then I can better work those details. I haven't done this in a while. Fun. So now, I'll start singing what's in my head into a handheld while a drive. Then I'll plug the groove I'm hearing into Pro Tools and go from there.

I think.

I got absolutely nothing done at work today. Except this.

BTW.......if
you
don't use that line, I will.

Hey Leo... so you like Drive better than Steer? I think I like the image of "Drive my life like a pickup truck" too. I'll tell you one thing, it sings really well.

You do get a nice strong "I" at the beginning of each phrase. Run with it.

Quite so, Leonard..............here's my take on why.......

The word "steer" has one of those 'joining' sounds, like when you say "the egg".....it works out as "theeyeg". But "steer" ends on a 'schwa', which is what English teachers call the lazy vowel, as at the end of 'doctor'.......no 'r' sound, and no standard vowel sound......as in the first and third 'a' in 'banana'.

So, IMO, "steer" is weak, whereas "drive" on ends a strong consonant........."steer" is fading out as you progress through the sound of the word, but "drive" maintains sonic momentum throughout.

I know, I know......I should get out more :).
