I had forgotten all about that amp builder- their ads were all over the guitar mags back in the Grunge days. Must've been out of business for a long time, now. I've tried Laney, Rivera, Peavey, Mesa and a few others which are supposed to sound similar. None of them do... {censored}ed if I know why. So, I bought a 50 watt 800 (2204) and I'll never sell it. You can get a 2204 for around $700 if you keep your eyes peeled. On the cheap you can grab a peavey valve king... great amp for the money. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've got some soul searching to do before I'm ready to buy an amp called the Butcher though.
