Members ChihliDog
Anyone who has played a Mesa Mark series knows precisely why Metallica set the EQs that way. Scooping doesnt sound right on other amps like it does on the Marks. IMO everyone started scooping trying to replicate the sound they heard on Metallica albums not realizing that without a Mrak it wasnt going to work. When I first started playing, all I wanted was to get tone like "The Thing That Should Not Be". I still say it's the heaviest song ever recorded. And my vote does go to MoP for the origin of the scooped sound.
