Members mparsons
For less than $600. I'm seriously contemplating putting a deposit down on one of them. I've been wanting a 7 string for a while for this main reason, without getting rid of either of my 6ths though. The options and the price point scream win. Only thing I don't really like is not being able to play it before purchasing it. But I'm sure a good setup, if needed, would solve any potential problems I may have with it's playability. And it's really aesthetically pleasing to me. Simple = Good. I'd probably throw some BKPs in it. Cold Sweat bridge and a nailbomb neck perhaps I had one of the first run Interceptors way back. A good guitar for the money, but the distance from the bridge and bridge pickup makes the sound REALLY muddy.

Members missingastring
Do it. That carvin looks sweet. Take the $400 and buy some decent pickups.
Members lefchr
I wouldn't trade that beautiful ESP for the carvin.
Members missingastring
There's nothing rare about an off-the-shelf Horizon. If the Carvin suits your needs better, there's no argument that should stop you from doing it.
Members shred-o-holic
If that's what you want to do then who cares what people say here. I just scored an NT-II in a trade yesterday though and I'm pretty damn happy right now...
