Members jr_vw2
So I love my Soldano Avenger. But some times I just want something different. What are some amps to look into around $1500 or less (preferably less). I was thinking Engl but not sure which model to shoot for. Let me have your two cents. Members guitarbilly74
The Avenger is a hell of an amp. If you are planiing to get the ENGL in addition to it, do it. But I wouldn't trade an Avenger for any ENGL.

Members Eric Hellstyle
Framus Cobranot a lot different (very similar preamp circuit and midrange voicing), but definitely more brutal
Members gsxrbusa
Man, lots of amps mentioned here that I currently love and own! If your gonna go Engl I would check out the Fireball 100 in that price range. Mean ass voiced amp and clean to go with it.

Members carvinlegacy99
Randall century 200, or Ampeg VH 140c, both very cheap and very brutal if you like old school death metal tones. Yeah they're solid state, but they are awesome for brutal fast music.
Members Mesa/Kramer
On the used market you could probably pick up a 2 heads for $1,500. Add maybe a 5150/6505 and a MK III

Members TornadoOfSouls
Titan sounds like just what you need. If you love your Soldano and want a little more out of it.
Members willy22
5150 or a Mark III. The Avenger has a huge wide tone, whereas both amps I mentioned are very focused in the mids. Seems like it'd sound massive. They're both relatively cheep too.
Members guidedbyechoes
I would go with a XXX,a mark 3 or a 5150 3 if you can find one that cheap. They would sound much more different than most other amps in that price range.
Members superflyinmonke
It wouldn't be easy to find one so cheap, but an ENGL Invader has always been my favorite ENGL. I second the 5150III comment.
Members ken361
fireball 100! I played the 5150III with a epiphone tribute and it sounded real close to my epi 59 on my engl. The 5150 going to be like 400 more though, great sounding amp btw.
