Members BigED
My Engl Blackmore hums all the time. Sometimes it's loud, sometimes it's low. When I'm on a high gain channel, it is significant. The hum also changes depending on the angle of my guitar (If my guitar body is perpendicular vs parallel to the front of the amp). I'm wondering if there are any good ways to eliminate this hum. I used double coil pickups, and I have an ISP Decimator noise reduction pedal. What do you guys think of these products: http://www.amazon.com/EBTECH-Hum-X-Ebtech-Eliminator/dp/B0002E4YH4/ref=sr_du_2_map?ie=UTF8&qid=1289604298&sr=8-2 http://www.amazon.com/Ebtech-Hum-Voltage-Filter/dp/B0002E4YI8/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t They seem to get good reviews, but I wonder if they really work of if they will impact my sound quality. Members knucklefux
try plugging the amp in in a different room, or at a friend's house. some rooms/houses are just electrically noisy, especially if there a lot of fluorescent lights.
