Members Hardtail
This one's not bad: Holy {censored} !! Amazing ... somebody finally thought to put reverb on a mini-head. That pulls a huge amount of weight with me - just makes so much sense, I can't {censored}ing believe the others don't do it.
Members broken_sound
Rehoused epiphone valve jr. My dad and I made the speaker cabinet too, just a way oversized 1x12 (sounds awesome at low volumes, very warm, but when cranked i can tell we made it WAY too big.) Members Minning Around
I'd be interested to hear the Fargen Micro Plex but it isn't out yet so no pics. Honestly, the smallest I want to go is a Suhr Badger 30 with power scaling. Saving up.
Members Minning Around
I'd be leaning toward the HT-5 since it seems to have plenty of preamp gain on tap and a British flavor.Oh god no. I have one. Clean is useless. Crunch is slightly better. Cheap as hell and has those lousy, lousy, lousy chrome knobs with the little black dot that you can't see. Wish I'd never bought mine. Would love to try a Series One though.

Members Dewysoss
My favorites have been the Night Train and Tweaker. HT5 was pretty decent as well.

Not a bad little amp at all.I think you're right, it is a Hamer! I love the Les Paul DC. I don't know why Gibson ever stopped producing it. Best body style ever, imo. Members BlackCustom
I really love this amp, especially with all NOS Mullards installed. What it lacks in knobs, it makes up in tone! I even have the "mini" cabs to go with it.
Members draelyc
I'm thinking about the Twintone II......... What's your opinion of the Koch?I dig it. It's really well made with a TON of thoughtful/useful features. I'm not entirely sure I've found exactly the right speaker to run it through, yet. So far, I've tried a V30 and I'm currently using a CL80. The clean channel is really, really good. As for the gain channels, I'd say if you can, try the Twintone out in person before you buy. The overdrive voicing is vaguely Marshallish, kinda modernish (if not exactly Mesa-ish), but it's really got it's own sound going on. Some people dig it and some don't. To my ear, the voicing sits right in between vintage warmth and modern edge, if that makes any sense. It's a bit more raw / less refined than my Trace Elliot Speed Twin, which is smoother.Dunno if that helps ... Fwiw, I've read positive things about the Twintone, but I haven't played one myself, so I can't compare. Build quality on the Studiotone does seem to be top notch, though.C

Studiotone head is not big by it's dimensions, but it's very loud 20W!I really wouldn't count it into "mini amp head" category I have a combo and it's a great amp, well packed with features
Members BAXANDALL
I've really been digging my Frenzel Deluxe Plus. Since I've bought it, I've scarcely been tempted to bring a stack to a gig. This thing with a 112 cab, mic'd up, sounds enormous. {censored}ing huge. Yet, it's so light and easy to travel with. Truly a beautiful thing. Only thing I don't really like is that I have to use pedals for high gain, but it's "inspired" by the 5e3 & the jtm45, so that's to be expected. I've heard mostly positive (but somewhat mixed) reviews about the Orange Tiny Terror and the Dual Terror, and not much else about any of the other brands' offerings. What are you guys digging (or GASing for) these days? That cage head looks almost identical to the Torres Boogie Mite I used to have. Here's my current little head. I might sell it though. I can't stop playing my 17 watt Diabolical these days.Minimat 2 by theecricket, on Flickr
