They mostly eat carcasses from my observation in AK. Made me facepalm my country for putting a glorified vulture as their national animal Vultures are ugly, Bald Eagles are the cooler cooking raptors. Any Eagle will go for an easy kill. I used to see Golden Eagles snagging up road kill too. Not that they couldn't grab a fresher meal if they wanted. Watch those live feeds from the nests. Cool stuff and they bring in some bigger prey than just fish. It's not uncommon for them to bring prey in and wait for it to die before making it a dinner. In one video, it sits with its talons in a big rabbit, pushes the rabbit over until it finally stops moving. Then it turns it into dinner. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
