Members RiffDaemon
It's like your bassist is playing a totally different song for the most part He tends to do that. We had a rehearsal a few days before, and the guy was reading off tabs
Members NaturalBornBoy
Don't they all? But seriously, is it just me or was the bassist messing up big time during the solo?

Members RiffDaemon
So he was unprepared for the gig? Yep! He's a blues guitarist in two blues bands, and he's got an 8-to-5 as a cop ..... he has trouble memorizing all of it.

Members NeloAngelo
it's better to have no bass player than to have a bass player who's playing at a different show.
Members Sheik_Yerbouti
Far away vid is far away. You sounded really good, man, if you can just get the bassist to tighten up!

You sounded really good, man, if you can just get the bassist to tighten up! Thanks Hopefully he'll have the desire for tightening after watching this

Members RiffDaemon
Oh God..... So, I heard this initially on an iMac's stock speakers, which is really light on the bass. I just re-listened to this on my headphones ..... oh man. Yeah, I totally wasn't hearing all of that. I'm so sorry, guys
Members Mahuska
As far as being gentle, your guitar especially lead was great and I could distinguish it from the rest of the mix. The Video was too far away and the rest of the mix was hard to hear very well. I agree the Bass player could use more practice time with your band. Listen to what others here say and do some more with advice given. Keep it up
Members Cap'n Ahole
I know its not always easy to find a bassist, but Id try. Someone who is INTO what your playing. If the guy likes blues, he should play blues. Basically if he knew the song from casual listening, a decent bassist could have improvised thru it ok. That said, WE dont have one for this reason & just because bassists are........ quirky. Oh & your playing was great!
Members RiffDaemon
Basically if he knew the song from casual listening, a decent bassist could have improvised thru it ok. Seriously, yeah. And that's the thing - he's big on improvising and not sticking to the page (to the point where he gets annoyed when we want to stick to the recorded versions of songs). Now that you mention it, I doubt he even really listened to it at all - he probably "knows" the tab (read: incorrect user tab) better than the actual song. We'll straighten 'im out
