Members tedmich
Clist ad has guy selling old PV VTM60 with bias mod and a cheapie ($250?) narrow Marshall 412 for $300http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/msg/3186146680.htmlHe's a little confused (compressor?) and spelled is "Peavy" (how I got my Ultra120 for $100) but what should I offer for just the head? Members lewzer
I paid $225 for my stock VTM60 head. Great amp.
Members Ovid9
One of the dip switches adds compression I believe, but more like a hot rodded marshall mod, not like a compressor so he's a bit confused on that. But, if he's selling both for $300, see if he'll sell the amp for $150. You'll get a heck of a deal and he can worry about that cab. You could start lower if you want but $150 for a good condition VTM60 is nothing to sneeze at.
Members mamberg
$200 seems fair.
Members Ovid9
$200 seems fair. Oh yeah, its totally worth $200, but if the guy's selling the whole half-stack for $300, offering $150 isn't screwing the dude. I'd buy one for $200. Well, not now, I have a VTM120, but if I didn't have one, I'd have jumped on one for $200.

Members pioneerprogress
Just buy them both. I dunno which cab that is, but it took me all of two days to unload my MG cab for $150, that way you'd still get the $150 VTM deal, and I'd hit that in a heartbeat. Members sleewell
200-300 seems fair, but i agree with buying them both and then offing the cab if you dont like it or dont need it.
