Members army_strong_19 Posted January 29, 2013 Members Share Posted January 29, 2013 you think 26 gauge is thin...I've been trying to make guitar pickups with 43 gauge wire and am afraid to try sanding the insulation off cuz it's SOOO thin, about the size of a human hair, that it breaks just by applying too much tension to it, like less than a pound of pull...I'm just hoping that the soldering iron melts the insulation off cuz i really don't feel like starting all over on the project.
