Members upinflames
I want to change up my Duecetone to more "vintage" spec. Besides dropping in a LM308N, what other changes do I need to make it closure to the original. My version has the "vintage rat" on both sides (same as a Rat II circuit, I believe), Turbo Rat on both channels (LED clipping), Dirty Rat on on channel (germanium diode clipping) and Clean Rat (no clipping, clean boost). Any suggestions?
Members WRGKMC
Other than the chip I didn find too much on it. Its a dual channel too so some of the vintage switching that can be done to a normal Rat cannot be done. I doubt it would make any difference to tone anyway. I'd just goole rat mods and see whats out there.
Members Mr.Grumpy
Here's a link to a "comparative" schematic illustrating the differences between the various RAT versions... http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/diyuser/GGBB/Multi-RAT.png.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1 There was a similar thread in the effects forum about this just the other day. http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?2808234-RAT-2-Conversion-Big-Box-Rat.
