Members Stackabones
I already have a Schatten passive pup that's installed in my Gitane D500, but I'm so used to having volume control on the guitar ... which is why I ordered this. Usually run it through a Baggs PADI ... yeah, yeah, probably overkill on the volume stuff. I like to have the volume knob close enough to fiddle with it, but I don't want to carve a barndoor in my guitars. Got it from Blue Star Music. Should be here in a few days. Ginormous pics, huh? Members OldGuitarPlayer
Hey that's cool....does it only work with the Shatten pup or can other pups be used with it as well?
Members Stackabones
Hey that's cool....does it only work with the Shatten pup or can other pups be used with it as well? According to Schatten, it should work with any active pup or any high-output passive one. I'm hoping that it's a versatile little unit.
Members simplygoodmusic
Looks kinda cool. I admit, on gypsy jazz gits I find anything other then mics to be heresy, but hey, if it works, it works! Let us know what its like after you get it. Members jwm1958m
Hi Stack, I am unfamiliar with Schatten pickups. How does the one you have compare to other brands. Looks like an interesting design.

Looks like an interesting design. I like it. Sounds good to me. I think there are some sound samples on the Schatten site that are worth checking out. I also like the fact that it isn't a permanent modification -- the pup uses a putty to stick to the bracing.

Members Stackabones
Untested at home, I decided to test this in the field last night at a gig! Worked like a charm. I'm quite familiar with that particular affliction, so have learned the art of "selective neglect"
