Members rjoxyz
I have extra large hands is the 25-5/8"-scale a problem? That's pretty much standard scale. Short scale could possibly be a greater issue for large hands.
Members Stackabones
Yamaha. It's the only one I'd feel comfortable buying without playing.
Members happy-man
deciding on a blem is up to you, but I agree on the Yamaha. For an inexpensive guitar it is really hard to go wrong with one. I like my Yamaha classical. Scott O

Members Stackabones
I've purchased blems before and couldn't find the blem. Sometimes a blem is just a return.
Members Terry Allan Hall
Thanks all ... blems ok or a gamble? Generally, "blem" means cosmetic imperfection (a ding, scratch or discoloration), so it's probably not much of a risk...and you do have 45 days to return it if you're not happy... Go w/ the Yamaha...that's about the most consistent brand ever!
Members Foss38
I bought a blem off the net (for a great price) for my son and there was nothing wrong with it. If it's that bad that it would be a concern I'm not sure they'd sell it as you can ship it back to them on their dime anyways. A blem is usually stamped as "B" stock though. Members Samilyn
Kinda late in chiming in here, but my vote goes to Yamaha. Lots of git for the buck. I don't have a problem with blems or "scratch & dent" stuff at all. Most of my stuff gets scratched or dented sooner or later, no matter how careful I am. I stomp my feet, holler a few cuss words, then chalk it up to more mojo. MF has a liberal return policy, so if the blem is something hideous that you can't live with, just box it up and return it. You have nothing to lose.
