Members rjoxyz
Really, can't you see Antiques Roadshow: 2040... Appraiser: Do you know how much your grandfather paid for this guitar? Owner: We still have the email that Grandpa printed out, and it says 29.99. Appraiser: Do you have any idea what it's worth today? Owner: No. I was hoping that we'd find out here. Appraiser: Well, because these guitars were so inexpensive, many of them were either sanded or painted. So, it's very rare when you come across one with the original cowboy art. But this guitar's artwork is still here, as we can see, and with the original email bill of sale, if this guitar would come up at auction, I would say--conservatively--that it would bring a final bid of eight thousand dollars. Thanks!! I just ordered 25 of 'em. My 401(k) isn't going to cut it if I retire.
Members bigmo66
$25 shipped to the door. Less than a couple packs of cheesy Elixers!I've got my Way Out West tweaked and it plays well.
Members Etienne Rambert
C70man: "I wonder what strings come on it? That takes it down to about $25.00!" "bigmo66: $25 shipped to the door. Less than a couple packs of cheesy Elixers!" Hey - put a set of Elixirs on it and the price rises up to $40. Too rich for me. ET: "For a campfire guitar, why not?" It looks like it would be good kindling wood. But starter logs are cheaper.
Members Brokepick
I just noticed the picture in the ad. On the box, it says its made of REAL WOOD.

Members Dr. Spivey
I would never buy one of those cheap things. I'm saving up for a $40 guitar. Has pictures on both sides.
Members Verence
I bit.I'll be sanding it a bit to see if there's any possibility of a natural finish. If there is a decent grain I'll make it an oil finish. If it looks like particle board I'll paint it a solid color.
Members guitardoodsez
i've got the sundown model, and the showdown is on the way, but i really want one of the way out west ones, the flying saucer is calling out to me

Members ChiyoDad
I tried it. As expected, not all that great unless you really just need a knock-around campfire guitar. Overstock.com took it back. $30 is still $30.
Members Terry Allan Hall
There is entertainment value in attempting to explain to people why your guitar has a flying saucer sucking up a steer on the front. Its an opportunity to spin a yarn that late night AM radio would be jealous of.Absolutely...think I'm going to get one of the "UFO" ones!
Members horseman1
Let us know what you think of it. I find its a fun little guitar to sit and play on the couch while watching Moldy and Sculler on the X-files
Members Highway_61
The thread starter (not me) gives a review of the guitar and provides an audio clip, http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=474283
Frets99
It's here! I played it right outta the box. It's no Martin but it plays easily and has a nice full and rich tone. I was surprised!
