Members killart
Hi all, I've searched around but can't seem to find a suitable answer. I want to amplify my old beater classical. I have been told that traditional soundhole acoustic pickup won't work on nylon string guitars. I'm told that only under bridge/under saddle pickups will do. Any truth to this? I've been told to check out the Fishman Ellipse Matrix system. I know, it's bit expensive, but I could always use it on my steel acoustic. Thoughts? Members NotDead
Piezo saddles work alright. The BEST way would be a mic.
Members killart
Ideally yes, but in some live situations, a condenser mic throws all sorts of feedback right back at ya!
Members garthman
Piezo UST (but make sure it is specifically designed for a classical guitar) or an internal (or external) stick-on transducer. If you can get one with an EQ so much the better.
Members Terry Allan Hall
Install a UST, add a SBT right under where the low E and A strings tie on, wire 'em parallel to an output jack, plug into a PADI and tweak knobs to taste.
