Members andy thompson
Yeah, visually striking, just a question? Would the dust entering the sound hole and settling on the porous wood affect the tone. Im thinking of the same idea, and wondered if humidifiers might alleviate my (our) potential problem. Dont know
Members Etienne Rambert
I don't know the answer. It's a good question. When they were on the floor, I had them each covered with a shirt. Thus dust never settled. Now that they're off the floor - I have to deal with that. I have to be careful though. Hanging a shirt over it will pull it forward a bit. I'm still thinking it through. But it's a beautiful solution for opening up floor space. Members jamesp
I don't see a problem as long as they're not in direct sunlight. But I don't care for the look of those stand legs sticking out there. As re-purposed, they're unnessecary and look way too easily snagged. One of your luthier buds could make you a neck based hanging rail that'd look a lot better and be more safe.

Members Etienne Rambert
She prefers being mystical. BTW, I changed it around a little. I put the stands inside the curtains and wired them to the window. Absolutely no danger of the stands falling now.
Members Sean-Patrick
You really do have exquisite taste in art and guitars, as well as space-saving methods. I must go sometime to vietnam to buy guitars, if they are as you say.Perhaps I should get the woods from cuba, first?Rosewood, mahogany, and the like from cuba, spruce from alaska, and building done in vietnam, perhaps? Anyway, excellent stuff.

They're all inexpensive guitars except for the F-65ce Guild - which was top-of the line in 1997. I've seen them go for for $1200-1800 today, depending on the color. Sunburst ones are rare. They have good woods here. If you brought any, consider Adi or AAAA Sitka. But they can get AAA Sitka here. They have good hardwoods galore. neri_elmer: "neri_elmer What if someone called you over the window and you're still lying in you're bed and you forgot that there's a guitar hanging above you..(Smash)" Already happened. I got up & bumped my head on the stand holding the Guild.
