Members MichaelHillendahl
I own a Blueridge BR-143-2. I'm considering an LR Baggs M1a. My guitar has the wider-than-average 1-3/4" nut, which means the string spacing will be slightly wider than the pole spacing. This bothers me!!!Should I be worried? With my Dean Markley Promag Grand, I've always struggled to get an even frequency response... It seems like my B string always sounds dead compared to everything else. I have to twist the pickup around in the soundhole all the time, to play with the tone. I don't know if that has anything to do with my string spacing, though... pickup could just be junk.Thoughts?Thank you gentlemen,Michael
Members lz4005
Problems with pole vs string spacing usually result in one or both of the outside strings being too quiet, not one of the inside strings.
Members DeepEnd
The M1 has adjustable pole pieces (one of the few soundhole pickups that does) so you'll be able to compensate for any problems you might encounter.

Thats good to know, DE. I've been thinking of putting one in my Weissenborn which has both wide spacing and very high flat action.
