Members vintage clubber
so I got the new Guitar Player yesterday and low and behold there is a pretty lengthy article on the U.S. made First Act guitars. Who'd a thunk it??? I still wouldn't touch those POS's in the Walmarts with a ten foot pole...

Members batotman
Hey at least with walmart you can always take it back after a year! My mom had a phone for like 5 years and took it back. Dear god i have no idea why. However they are getting more strict.
Members ScreaminKing
Isn't the whole thing with First Act guitars that they make custom shop stuff?

Members Barryj61
Man, would I love to talk to the genius that came up with First Act's business plan. First, start off by making some of most horrid {censored}boxes the world has ever seen. Display said {censored}boxes prominently near the checkouts of the largest retailer on earth. Listen to the snickers of serious guitarists all over the world Wait a couple of years THEN start building higher quality guitars; spend lots of money on endorsers to try and convince serious guitarists to buy these instruments now that the First Act 'brandname' is familiar to people the world over. Now that's some {censored}ing brilliant marketing, fellows..........

Members k4df4l
http://www.firstact.com/www3/aparently they are offering custom one-offs:"Our expert luthiers create custom-built, one-of-a-kind guitars, basses, and violins. From the headstock to the strap button, the scroll to the peg box, every instrument is built from scratch with the finest tonewoods, trims, and finishes from around the world."quite a confusing marketing idea...let's establish our name selling $35 POS walmart guitars and then try to bust into the custom instrument market....
