I'm not sure of the terminology....just trying to keep people from being able to take a specific picture......I guess would be similar to something like thishttp://www.slamabama.com/photos.cfmbut maybe there's another way to do it w/out hosting on my domain?? Moderators daddymack Posted August 3, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2011 okay..you copied it...so you want to secure your photos so they can't be copied? Ah, well, sorry, but there isn't a really secure method to do that...because the moment you display it, it is there, and there are many ways to get a copy. There are things you can do to make it harder, and to make the pics 'undesirable' (like watermarks, or photoshopping a text banner i on it then saving it as a 'hard' image.) Some web programmers disable right-clicking on their sites, or 'slice' images into segments so that they can't be copied as one object....but they can still be copied and reassembled, it just takes longer.Basically, I think it is all defeatable if you put your mind to it. http://www.webresourcesdepot.com/10-ways-to-protect-images-from-being-stolen/ So, basically, if you want to prevent anyone from getting a copy of your pic...don't put them up. Members kmart
So basically the same way you prevent people from getting posted music that you don't want them to download, etc.
