Members Shakabrah2
Want to emulate the bass on a home stereo but with my PT EQ on the master fader. What freq's would I boost to do this?? I actually like the bass sound on my home stereo and in my car. Have tried to copy it but only get real low bass or something higher that muddies the mix. What do you think??
Members Funkwave
It's a little confusing. What are you trying to "Emulate" on your home stereo? If you want to eliminate mud, you should try cutting in the 80-100 hz range. Always try subtractive EQing before adding.
Members Shakabrah2
Just bringing up the bass on a home stereo. What freq's does it boost? Want to do the same thing to a finished track.
Members where02190
I'd guess probably 100Hz and 12Khz.
Phil O'Keefe
It would depend on the design of the EQ circuit on the individual home stereo of course, but I would imagine Where is pretty close with his suggestions - you're probably looking at shelving filter EQ's at 100 Hz ("bass") and somewhere between 8 / 10 / 12 kHz ("treble")... something in that ballpark.
