Members rhythminmind
can one be in love with a plugin? i think i am.. it's not brand new but i re-found the glory of it.. www.kjaerhusaudio.com/gco-1.php Haven't posted in awhile. But i thought others might have the same issues as i. I had the want to be able to start and finish a project in ableton live without missing my protools plugs. And this guy was the last missing link i needed. Being a drummer compressors are a huge part of my sound. I use Protools and Ableton. Ableton is by far more creative but the protools plugs have been what pulls me back to it everytime... mainly the compressors.. the 1176, smack, & the LA3A's have been must haves for me... Until i re found this guy (GCO-1). It's emulates them all and then some.. I think I'll be doing more work in ableton these days. here is some 3 mic (Overheads and a kick only) drum noodling. You can hear the compressor pump nicely.. http://www.rhythminmind.net/temp/Random%20Audio/drumnoodling.mp3
Members UstadKhanAli
I'm rather fond of my Tel-Ray Variable Delay plug-in, although I don't spend nights with my arm around the plug-in, sipping wine in front of a fireplace, knowhattamean? Members rhythminmind
I might have to start whispering sweet nothings to my moogerfooger analog delay next to the fire.. I think it's a bit sexier then the tel ray..

I mean, I'm not usually fickle, but...well, you know, there's just some times when you want MoogerFooger, other times when you want oil can delay... Members rhythminmind
i use 2 414's for overheads. Spaced over the kit. Over the hat/far left tom the other over the ride/far right floor tom.. This is my crazy kit http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/e33/0d5/e330d584-d2a3-48a4-833a-c795dbbf2d98 i just buss the 2 oh's hard left and right to a stereo buss, compress & EQ the kick gets gated EQ'd & compressed mixed to taste. i sometimes send all 3 tracks to a stereo buss and compress it all.. i change it up all the time.. i like to close Mic as well.. I'll make some screen-shots of what your listening to..http://www.rhythminmind.net/temp/Random%20Pics/oh.jpghttp://www.rhythminmind.net/temp/Random%20Pics/kick.jpg

Members MortenDK
Man that sounds pretty damn good!! Pretty tight feel to it with such a big drum kit!! the spacing on the overhead mics must bee pretty far apart!? cause the compression sounds pretty hard on the overheads!!. And that GCO-1 is not so expencive either oohh I might buy it for a project coming up!
