Members IGWright
Here's what I got: Laptop: Main ComputerDesktop: Slave ComputerFX TeleportMonitor plugged into Desktop.Keyboard/Trackerball plugged into Desktop.Laptop docked. Here's the question:Can I use the the Desktop Monitor/Keyboard/Trackerball to run the rig without plugging them directly into the Laptop (IE through the network connection), or do I need to plug them directly. Thank-you, Ian:cool:
Phil O'Keefe
Without some sort of remote desktop software, I don't think you can do what you want. Normally, when you want to use the same human interface devices with two seperate computers that are located in the same room, a hardware "KVM switch" system is used. They're available at many / most computer stores as well as through online vendors. I don't think it is, but it may actually be possible to do what you want Ian... but if it is via software only, it's probably going to be a kludge. Members korgan
Sounds like a KVM switch would do you quite well actually. if not, VNC would work as well, but it would be alot more complicated to get up and running. http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/SubCategory.asp?SubCategory=
