Audio Nerd Day: PART II

So we locked down the date for our party on Sunday, November 5th. TONS of fun gear, plenty of good beer, and the puss'n'boots (girlfriend, she made me stop calling her 34C) will be cooking a big table full of homemade Italian cuisine!

Just SOME of the tasty equipment we'll be playing with:

Groove Tubes ViPRE

Thermionic Culture Early Bird

A Designs Pacifica

Gordon Audio Mic Pre

Tonelux Mic pre, EQ, and summing

Thermionic Culture Phoenix

UA LA2A

Chandler LTD-2

Chandler Germanium

Chandler Tone Control EQ

Helios Type 69 Mic Pre

Shadow Hills MEGA GAMA 8

SCA Mic Pres

Eisen Audio Mic Pres

Great River MP2-NV

Aurora GTQ-2

Portico Pre

API 2500

and LOTS of mics:

Brauner VM1-KHE

Soundelux E47

BLUE Kiwi

AEA R84

Royer R121

Royer SF12

Josephson C42

Crowley & Tripp Naked Eye

vintage Neumanns

so many more.

We'll have a drumkit set up, and a couple of singers in house, and we'll be recording a lot of stuff. ALSO! Bring in your tracks at 24/44.1 and zero-aligned on an external drive or DVD and mix it through our Tonelux and see what you think.

If you can bring gear, that'd be sick being that space is limited. If not, just bring your ears and a case of beers.

We're starting at 1pm, and going all through the night. E, V, G trains 2 blocks away. PM me for directions.

See you there!

Wish I could show up! Have a beer or ten for me...

I am not familiar with the Crowley & Tripp Naked Eye, but great name!

I have the Portico mic pre and love it. It'd be interesting to hear how it differs from some of the other ones. And since we were discussing the Gordon, it'd be interesting to hear how that differs from the others as well.

That's a nice collection of mic pres and mics for yer Audio Nerd Day.
