Members RaVenCAD
They're cheap because Korean workers get paid $0.15 a week. I've played about 10 Artcores and not one has been sub-par. Great guitars for great prices.

Members StatesboroBlues
They are not made in Korea, they are made in China. Korean wages are 20 times more than Chinese wages, according to a CNN article. That's why they are so inexpensive.
Members IdaCrue
I have two Ibanez Artcores (AWD82T and a AXD81) both are great instruments. I have also played the AG85TRD and I just loved it. I guess the others are right about Asian labor. The CNC machine doesn't care what language it is programmed in, it just routes out perfect components. I think China like Korea will put as much quality into a guitar as the requester asks for. Maybe that is why you get junk and jewels from the same country, and often from the same factory.
