Members Binkeys
I recently had the opportunity to use a GT convertible at a festival I played and I though it sounded quite good live. What do you think of this mic in general? As a recording mic? What comparable mics should I look at in the same price range? Thanks!
Phil O'Keefe
Really nice mic. It's very similar to the (more expensive) GT33, which I own and use fairly frequently. It's a really good acoustic guitar microphone. In that price bracket, it's one of the best microphones of its type on the market IMO.
Members Binkeys
How would you compare it to the Audio Technica PRO 37? That's the other one in that range I've seen some nice reviews on. Is the GT a good recording mic as well? (I only used it live.)
Phil O'Keefe
And I only use it in the studio. Yes, it's a very good recording microphone. I like AT microphones in general, but I'm not as wild about the "Pro" series. The "Artist" series are better microphones, but then again, they're more expensive.
