Members VanLaing5150
Well guys I think I have found it...one day you wake and realize that the guy that made you pick up the guitar has recorded 2 songs for a porno. If that doesnt take the edge off buying new gear I dont know what does. I think this honestly inspires in a backwards sort of way, in no way shape or form do I want to associate myself with anything that EVH is putting out anymore because this is just fricken lame. You have legions of fans that would go nuts if a Roth reunion happened or if you simply released all the unreleased stuff from your band, but instead you go ahead and work with a porno director who thinks of his craft as an art. People dont watch porno because of the art, they watch it cause there is hot chicks involved, same reason Baywatch ever got ratings. Normally my gas is based off of listening to a Van Halen cd or something of the like, but this gives the needed kick in the ass to get out there and start looking into other players and genres because the EVH saga has officially ended on a rather lame and pathetic note.... Members Kace
Hey, think of it this way: If EVH was your only source of inspiration, maybe it was time to broaden your horizons anyway. But really . . .EVH = goodhot chicks = goodporn = good I fail to see the problem. Would you prefer it was a Hyundai commercial? What's more "Van Halen" than hot naked chicks and various sexual enterprises? Isn't that what 90% of thier songs were about anyway?
Members Danhedonia
Oh dear, looks like the church lady had her idol shattered. I'd tell you to grow a pair, but {censored}, my girlfriend's terrific taste in porn overrules that ... Does anyone believe that someone no longer craves a guitar because ... of this? Me either. Members Jimi Ray Halen
So Eddie made a porno soundtrack. BFD. It's just sex. He also recorded with Michael Jackson. At least the porno involves consenting adults and no jesus juice for junior. Like someone else said, it's time to move on. Eddie's great, no question, and I had my time learning some of his tricks. But after awhile let it go and move on to something else. Unless you want to play in a VH tribute band or something. Not that there's anything wrong with that. You'd have to be pretty damned good. Really f'ing good. My suggestion? Early EC - EVH's main influence. See where he got some of his licks. EC = great.
Members dot-dot-dot
And even though I can just about see how it might put someone off EVH (though less so than most of his musical output should), I can't see how that'd put someone off buying guitars. Members GAS Man
I'd actually rather see a EVH and Sammy Hagar reunion. I used to think that Roth was "the one" but after I bought their black collection album that chronologically goes from EVH/Roth songs to EVH/Haggar tunes I realized that I really prefer Sammy's voice. Most folks just get confused on this matter because the song's themselves on a whole were better in the Roth era than the Haggar era. It wasn't that the singer was better. Besides, that Roth spandex bulge was supposed to attract the ladies not the dudes!

I seen both versions and I have to give it to DLR. He's one of the best bar band type front men I've ever seen. Either one hates Eddie's guts now so maybe they ought to do a reality show to find VH a new frontman. Now THAT would be worth watching.
