Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted August 17, 2006 Author Moderators Share Posted August 17, 2006 The Warmoth neck is on it's way via a friend in Louisiana...to avoid duties and stuff. The body is still in Tennesse, and nearly finished, the rest is ready and waiting. The finished article will be this. Based on this:
Members Jim_Soloway
I love those pickups. We used a set a few months ago and I was just making plans this morning to use some more. Pete Biltoft is a genius.

A place in TN, called Guitar Mill, purveryors of the finest swamp ash. http://guitarmill.com/ Mario is a perfect gent and this place shows the sort of flexibility that makes Warmoth difficult to deal with. Superb customer service. I asked if I could have an input on the body blank and he snet me picsof a rabhe of blank and let me pick. That would happen at Warmoth wouldn't it? Maybe you didnt quite undertand....they are custom handmade pickups. VC is superb and a purveyor of fine British KA pickups, but I'm sure he'd be the first to admit that Pete Biltoft is in a different league. Beautiful...just beautiful. From his website, it appears that Pete has taken on two highly qualified artisans as staff in pickup production. I trust that his meticulous supervision and attention to quality and detail will continue, and that this arrangement will give him more time to devote to design and innovation. This guy is amazing, and he deserves great success! http://vintagevibeguitars.com/about.html

The cleans sound a little sweeter than P90's, but when you add a bit of gain, they scream about like what you'd expect. Like all of Pete's single coil pickups, they're also remakably quiet. Members CrackerD
Luckilly, Pete is pretty close to me and I always pass his place on motorcycle rides. I always want to drop in and see what he has in the works!! I don't of course, as that would be lame. I did stop by for a set of hum-saized p90's and was veary impressed with his stuff. Modest little shop. Really a cool dude, too. Took the time to explain changing magnets and stuff. Smart guy, for sure. I think he does it more for fun than for money. Members go cat go
These are fantastic pups. I installed these into my Classic 60's strat. Beautiful sounding cleans and filthy dirty's. The in betweens have some quack and sound very nice as well.
