I saw a press release about that the other day, but I'm not really sure what, if anything, differentiates it from other 1073 type emulation plugins. Members UstadKhanAli
I don't think anybody does. I'm just wondering if it's good. I've done some quickie preliminary comparisons to a couple of other EQs. I compared a 4.8kHz and 3.2kHz boost at 10 dB with the Scheps 73, a Massenberg MDW, which is a very clean sort of EQ, and a Stillwell Vibe EQ, which is a vintage EQ plugin that is surprisingly good quality, especially when you consider that it's only about $29 or $39. So far, generally speaking, the Scheps 73 sounded smoother and sweeter when compared to either the Massenberg or the Stillwell, but was quite similar to the Vibe EQ, not a huge surprise. However, I was surprised at how the Massenberg EQ seemed a bit honkier (more nasally), particularly at 4.8kHz. I'll mess around with this more later, but seeing as it's $99 and more flexible than the Vibe EQ, I'm thinking that it might be a good cheap way to improve my EQ. I have not compared it to the Waves Renaissance EQ yet. And of course, I don't know how it compares to other 1073 emulations.
