Members AtomHeartMother
The PRS is close. It's probably already worth more than you paid for it. Maple board CE's are rare. Well, what's your cutoff for vintage? 20 years? No way! I'd say 25-30 years minimum.
Members AtomHeartMother
I think some of us are confusing vintage with valuable. They aren't necessarily the same. I think all of your guitars will become 'vintage' eventually, with the exception of the Kramer. But how much profit can be made by selling any of them probably has less to do with their age, and more to do with demand. Example: if they stop building Telecasters tomorrow, your axe will instantly become more valuable, not 20 years from now. If people are hungry for pre-owned PRS, you win. If they aren't, you'll do well to get 1/2 of what you paid for it. Provided, of course, you want to part company with your guitar in the 1st place!BTW - really sweet set of guitars (yes, even the Kramer). +
Members Splendor
Many think that the arrival of the Squier '51 signals the end of days, so maybe that's a good turning point. You mean the "Squier Vintage Modified Series '51"?
Members No Soul
just like I said, you ask what counts as vintage and 30 people come up with their own version with no mind for the popular convention used by VINTAGE guitar dealers.. it really is just a buzz world though... Members No Soul
while I think motorcycles may be 1939. . maybe on your side of the pond, they refer to those as antiques herevintage would be much newer than that. Though, the motorcycle community here argues about what counts as vintage too
