Members richardson
It's an older Gibson B25 acoustic, I know that's for sure. What I don't know is the year or how to decipher the serial number on the back of the headstock. The serial number is 437946, someone help me out! I'm going to try over in the Acoustic section if I don't find any help from you guys

Members Bbreaker
Mind telling me how the number's read? I have a few Gibson books that give serial numbers.I looked up in "The Gibson Les Paul Book" by Tony Bacon & Paul Day...page 92....... "Number series 420,000 to 438,000's 1966".There doesn't seem to be a numerical scheme within the serial numbers of those years. It's just serial numbers produced in certain years. Members JorisBlack
try www.guitardaterproject.org (you have to use the vintage panel and select the options that your guitar has, I can't see them on your pictures)
Members Krash
You can contact Gibson customer service - they maintain a database of serial numbers, and should be able to give you the history on the guitar.
