Members Mr. Botch
Got this picture from the Astronomy Pic of the Day website, thought it was unique enough to share: The Cassini spacecraft is just passing through the rings themselves, giving that cool edge-on view. Members blackpig
A while ago I had a hankering to buy a really good telescope - now I'm definitely selling some guitars to buy one
Members fulcrum
What a cool link. Up till it turned cold I was doing a fair chunk of stargazing without a telescope... laying out on the roof of my car. This'll take the place of that activity while the winter gears up. Members fantasticsound
Thanks, Botch. I was beginning to wonder what had become of Cassini.. Talk about pictures of your trip! I love that we're able to accomplish such imaging of other worlds in my lifetime. Now... if we can go there... that would be incredible.
Members John S. Shinal
Originally posted by myshkin Cheers, will investigate. Celestron makes a nice 100mm refractor that sells for $399 US - it would be a great starter telescope, and has nice optics and a pretty good mount. An excellent value.
