Members astroturf
I am getting a guitar today that is a satin finish. I specifically ordered a non-oil/wax finish (which is what Warrior does for satin) and wanted a hard satin finish. They said something on the phone about wax so I am concerned it may be an oil wax finish, though they later said it was 'as ordered'. Is there any way to tell between them other than waiting for the neck to warp?

Members HanSolo
I am probably as confused as they are. I would assume if you ordered a wax finish, you should be getting hand rubbed wax finish over sealed wood (lacquer based sanding sealer). If you ordered an oil finish, you would be getting tung-oil over raw wood finish. Why don't you call to clarify?
Members Norcal_GIT_r
In my experience, a wax type of finish should feel more like the natural wood where nitro will look and feel like a lacquer finish. Nitro when new tends to have a sweet smell to it. Also nitro finishes tend make my hand feel sticky after playing for little while.
