Poor Macca

Yeah, Heather was a porn mag poser.

He oughta take that ball and run with it, like Evan Seinfeld. Like that's gonna happen.

Oh well...it was swell while it lasted. Had a good cause, the land mines thing. Macca needs a cause. He'll find someone else with a cause for him to champion.

Heck, he's now one of the most eligible guys in the world. Who cares if he's 64. Someone will need him. Someone will feed him.

:thu: Absolutely no doubt about that, Angelo. But, he will most likely play the game, anyway. And that, after already making an idiot out of himself the day he married a woman half his age and expected anything to turn out differently. And, NO pre-nup!! Geeeeeeez, talk about obvious. He's primarily a victim of his own actions and overly-inflated ego in this one, AFAIC.

Quintuple-layered flamesuit on:

As for the "poor Macca" stuff - and gawd, how I hate that Macca BS so many of the obsessed adorers use, like they're some kind of 12-year-old Teen Beat readers and as if McCartney's their personal old pal or something. (Boyfriend??) The dude is 64 years old, folks. And, he's a billionaire+, on top of that. I really do think he'll survive.

This is just a dirt-common celebrity divorce with all the stereotypical sleaze - not terminal cancer, not blindness, not a needed heart transplant, not a loss of limb(s) or digit(s), not Alzheimer's, not a total bankruptcy, not homelessness, not a life spent daily enduring severe mental illness in some dingy shelter or gutter somewhere with no familial, financial, medical, or psychological support. Millions lose spouses every single day under far worse conditions. Can I empathize with the dude? Certainly. But, a little perspective, please. "Poor Macca", indeed. C'mon...... Gimme a big break!

Geez Rick. Sounds like you've got some pent up anger there! :D

In case you don't recall because it wasn't that long ago, McCartney DID lose his very beloved wife to terminal cancer. I think he was very vulnerable because of that, and I feel badly that he let himself get taken advantage of. Same as I would for anybody else in that situation. And what does him being 64 years old and a billionaire have to do with anything? Billionaires need love too and don't want to die alone any more than anybody else does. In fact they may even have a harder time at that than the rest of us since they always have to wonder whether they are really being loved for themselves or for their money.

And sorry, for those who grew up with and loved his music lo these many years, McCartney IS a friend of sorts. Not in the same way as a real-life friend, but we're all adults here and we know the difference. Let us enjoy it for what it is, it's really no big deal. :D

well i wouldn't go that far writting anything about somebody not me, even if he is a public pop figure like McCartney, but i guess The Sun has another view on that.

But i can say that i liked John Lennon a lot, as well his japanese wife, somehow far more symphathic and for my taste artistic. Less bourgeois then Paul, at least seen so from the moon from where i watch pop music.

Nope, not anger, Lee. Just a genuine frustration with what I consider to be largely petty celebrity worship, coupled with a fair-sized dose of naivete. I did label my complaints . :)

I'm speaking of NOW, though, not THEN. Sadly, millions world-wide lose spouses in that manner every single day, as I alluded to in my prior post. And, many (unlike McCartney, gladly) lose every material possession they have in the process, as well, in order to attempt to pay the bills. I feel for all who suffer loss. For example: Ever personally volunteer in or visit a children's terminal cancer ward? I have...as have many. Ever see what those parents have to endure, in addition to the child's suffering? I have...as have many. Ever personally faced the true prospect of your own imminent death? I have...as have many. As I posted earlier: just a little perspective, please.

Unfortunately, everyone - yes, even a billionaire! - literally dies alone, no matter the marital status or how many people are around at the time. I think you know what I'm saying.

In fact they may even have a harder time at that than the rest of us since they always have to wonder whether they are really being loved for themselves or for their money.

Highly debateable point, there. But - no personal offense to you intended - not worth debating, IMO. I'm no debate devotee, anyway. :) YMMV.

My point, exactly. (No apology needed, btw. ;) )

...but we're all adults here and we know the difference.

I gotta admit that I wonder about that at times, particularly in regard to the most adoring. The "know the difference" part, that is.

Let us enjoy it for what it is, it's really no big deal.

I'm not ordering anyone to stop, Lee! :D I just posted some personal opinions and gripes under a heading. I agree totally - It (and "it" includes Mr. McCartney and the never-ending saga of his trials and escapades, IMO) IS really no big deal. Once again, that's a big part of my point. Others are certainly free to feel completely differently than I do about anything, of course! I personally wouldn't want it to be any other way.

Or so I've heard.
;)

If I ever meet one and get to spend some time around him/her, I'll try to find out for sure and report back with any findings. :D

No myth, IME. But, then again, I can only vouch for an age spread of 10-12 years. :)

Aha, i see, you are into experienced ladies if i calculate that right again.... or just trying to talk around your real age, hope you don't dye your hair then. Maybee you're a vegetarian, and don't touch any meat at all, no matterr if it is alive or dead, where the later would make you a necrophile no matter if the meat is a T-Bone steak or female corpses.

I don't think we are OT "macca" (maccarony) by know !!!

I'd like to see the Domestic Affairs calculation sheet for this settlement. Mmmmm.....let's see, Paul, you make 100 million a year. Heather, you make $100,000.00 a year. Paul, you will pay 1 million a month in child support until your child is 18 or finishes the last day of high school whichever comes last.:thu:
