Members Lucio
"The finish is all over gold as opposed to just the top, just like Marc Bolans, retro fans! I can only assume this was a refinish as I couldn't find any info on Deluxes ever being issued with this finish. Again this looks like a very professional job with no overruns on the lovely aged cream binding or anywhere else. I would imagine this was done sometime in the seventies as it has that slight greenish hue that gold tops get when they reach a certain age....much like myself. " At least he's honest about it... Members balthazarr
That certainly looks authentic. It would be tough to reproduce all the areas of aging shown at the nut andheadstock. I'd want to play it first. There are quite a few mods, though.
Members Ancient Mariner
The posts for the bridge look like oriental copy types (US posts are always small diameter) but since it also has (nasty cheap) replacement pots, a refin and various other signs of playing abuse I suspect it's genuine but quite non-original. Members mc5nrg
That's some sort of reworked Ibanez or similar late 70s MIJ copy not a GIbson guitar.
Members paul44
Def not a Gibson.Description contains all the usual caveats and vagueness of a rip-off merchant.Slot-headed bridge posts? No fret end binding nibs? Crap starting price? Avoid!!!!!
Members Hoddy
That's some sort of reworked Ibanez or similar late 70s MIJ copy not a GIbson guitar. If that's true then it's better than a Gibson.
Members Professor Tom
I saw one in the mid 70's that came from the factory with an all gold finish so there are a few around.
