Members Virgman
If you haven't heard "Blues for Greeny" (tribute to Peter Green)...you've missed out on a great album. BTW...I *believe* he even used Peter's out of phase Les Paul for the recordings. I have B for G. Yuck. I didn't care for B for G. Gary Moore doesn't have the voice to sing it. Not everybody has the voice. I'll bring up Joe Bonamassa in the same context. Great guitarist. Cannot sing the blues. Another white guy that DOES have it (had) is Rory Gallagher. Rory Gallagher was good.
Members Lucio
Yeah OK i'll concede Moore's singing isn't that good but I think his guitar playing more than compensates. With you 100% on Rory though, I just got Irish Tour and it's incredible
Members Swimrunner
Gary Moore is one of the greatest players of all time. I like his hard rock 80's better than his blues, but regardless when Gary is on, few can match his might.
Members One-armed Alec
I suffer no posterior discomfort when listening to Gary Moore on guitar, but I do agree that he's a stellar talent!
Members One-armed Alec
Gary Moore doesn't have the voice to sing it.I have to agree in that I enjoy his guitar playing a lot more than his 'hero of the pub' vocals. His singing voice does at times actually make my arse hurt.
