Members DarkHorseJ27
I have a Fender Custom Tele HH. It has a graphite nut, which doesn't really do to much because the guitar has a fixed bridge. Any opinions on what type of nut I should get? Want to keep the pickups, it already has a coil tap. Thinking of getting another one so I can tap each pickup seperately. Any other ideas or opinions on how I can mod the electronics?
Members DaleH
Put an SD P90 between those humbuckers and give it some grit.
Members tele62
I second the P-90 idea. Also, leave the graphite nut alone - trem or not, graphite does the job really well. If you really insist, an bone nut will do fine.
Members xStonr
Graphite nut should okay to keep for a while. If you must upgrade, then go to a bone nut. If you're coil tapped already, check to see what electronics came with the guitar. If you have CTS in it, then you should be set.
